Title: Texas Cactus by Alexander

Description

The cactus scenes of Texas with mountains in the background have a great folky view with no commercial views. The cactus has taken over an area between higher points and the view looks like an old John Wayne movie. Oil on board, one can almost see cowboys racing in the dust across the landscape shown here. This is pure folk art.

Description

A real pink and blue pastel western scene showing cacti and the west with no commercial development or light poles. A nostalgic look and a study in lighting in the desert. John Wayne could arrive from the scene in any direction. The frame for this piece is some sort of western shrub or wood that is in perfect keeping with the painting.
