	Description Victorian glass dome display with footed wooden base and red velvet lining. Ideal for a small clock or treasured figurine, that is in fact what this vintage item was used for. Glass is in superb condition with only the slightest of roughness around edge. Base is painted a dark, almost black color and has aged nicely. These domes were used to normally show treasures in the center of a table. The clocks were also placed in these and there is a slight bubble in the top to accommodate an extra half inch in height from the base. This is filled with slight waves and bubbles and is in excellent condition for a 100 year old piece. These are simply items that you do not find as they had a tendancy to break.
